ADR ATEX UNIT LEVEL 2
Tank approval code L4AH + S4AH according to ADR 2007, chapter 6-10 refering to the carriage of hazardous wastes belonging to the classes 3,4-1, 5-1, 6-1, 6-2, 8 and 9.
The tank approval is delivered by INERIS for the first standard unit according to the annex IX of the directive 94/9/CE, the following units being approved under production of the technical files.
Marking Ex II 2 (1) G II B T 3
For the class 3, the possibilities will be as follows for the flammable products with flash point under 60°C :
- Pumping by suction, transport, tank emptying without opening of the rear door (truck engine stopped), possibility of putting the tank under pressure, rear door opening after degassing
For the flammable products with flash point above 60°C :
- Pumping by suction, transport, possibility of putting the tank under pressure, tank emptying with rear door closed or open.
The precise list of products in each class will depend on the tank material and on the tank design (with or without moving partition, type of fittings, etc...)
Option : Level 2 +
For flammable products with flash point under 60°C :
Opening of the tank rear door, tank tipping, tank discharge with open rear door (truck engine stopped)
